			On the Bias "On the Bias" is a collection of writings that capture a variety of immigration experiences. Eventually, it will contain reflections on my own experience and background, interviews with other people who are or have been immigrants, and a collection of vignettes about people who shared an aspect of their own experience with me.
			Landfill Diaries The Landfill Diaries got started in 2001 when I began to stop off at Candlestick Park during my morning commute to admire the sunrise over the Bay. First I started noticing the endless stream of garbage trucks driving by, and eventually I realized that this gorgeous (if filthy) spot is on the leading edge of the Bay Area trash phenomenon.
			Reflections A miscellaneous collection of considerations, more or less evolved, most of them a little against the grain and in search of someone willing to argue otherwise.

I am working with VOLT, Volunteer Organization for Literacy Tutors, to train and deploy literacy tutors in reading and math in Santa Clara County.
